I am SO excited! I can oficially annouce today that Life in Pictures my new photography business is up and running! Photography has always been a passion of mine. This has been in the works for a LONG time! Ever since I got my very first 110 camera when I was a kid. I took that thing everywhere and have thousands of really awful pictures to prove it!
I have been doing shoots for friends and neighbors for quite some time now but never really had the guts to "sell" myself. Finally I have gotten up the courage thanks to some wonderful friends that have encouraged me and never stopped asking me to take their pictures. I needed that push!
I will be shooting strictly in black and white since that is my absolute FAV. I fell like it really lets the picture tell a story when there aren’t any other distractions. The background tends to blend in more and the subjects jump off of the page.
Candid kid shots are my strong suit. I’m just not really a studio kind of girl. Posing is not for me. Even though I’m sure I’ll get around to the studio thing eventually I will still aim to capture candid moments in front of the backdrop.
I’ll be doing my first portrait party at the park…(how’s that for a lot of "p’s"??) sometime near the end of the month. The details are still being worked out. I’m still working out pricing and stuff..trying to make it affordable for everyone to get beautiful pictures. I’ll be re-doing the blog a little to include more info and pics for your viewing pleasure. lol! In the mean time here are a few recent pics from a couple of neighborhood shoots to entertain you.
