Things to Do: Los Angeles: Aquarium of the Pacific

last weekend we took advantage of the BEAUTIFUL weather and headed along PCH to the Long Beach to visit the Aquarium of the Pacific.  Andy was SO excited to go.  On the PBS station here, where he watches Sesame Street and other favorite shows, they are one of the sponsors- so he hears the name of the place all the time and knows that they have sharks there.  That’s all you need to know to sell a little boy on a place. 😉

It was PACKED and the lighting, well lets just say that indoors they let the little aquariums be ALL the light and otherwise it’s pitch black, so that made it harder to get some good shots, but here are a few I liked.:)

The aquarium is beautiful!  The kids had such a great time and could have stayed all day.  They have interesting exhibits that change on a regular basis.  During the summer they offer a reduced rate nights at the Aquarium admission.  If you are in the area and want to check it out, here’s their website: Aquarium of the Pacific.  Downtown Long Beach is full of fun shops and restaurants too, so you can definitely make a day of it.
