Thanks for stopping by!

I love to celebrate beautiful things!   My interests include anything crafty, colorful and fun!  I love to travel, cook, craft, design, create, entertain, decorate, sew..and the list goes on.  Stunning images inspire me and I hope I can share a few things here that will inspire you too!

I have always loved photographs.  My grandma has always taken a million pictures and it inspired me from a young age.  With my first 110 camera I captured fun memories of family vacations and everyday activities.  Since having kids my focus has turned to the art of the portrait.  In my eyes the "perfect" portrait doesn't mean a creaseless shirt and stiff poses, but instead a twinkle in the eye and a glimpse into the soul.

My specialty is children.  I love to capture them in their natural element.  I want to capture who your child is at this moment.  The little noses, funny smiles and dirt covered faces that make them the person that they are right now.

My approach is VERY relaxed...very "photo journalistic."  I'm not a girl that likes to pose.  My idea of a perfect shoot is to meet you somewhere fun and let your kids play and be themselves while I fade into the background.  I believe it's those moments that you truly want to remember.   Anyone can take a picture.  I want to capture a moment and tell a story.

I'd LOVE to come play with your little ones.  Think of a place where they are happiest.  Disneyland? Chuck E Cheese?  Krispy Kreme?  Think outside the box.  Let's get together and let them explore, get dirty and have some fun!  Those WILL be your cherished memories!

Make This: Srapbooking Tips and Techniques

It’s that time of the month again!  I had some deadlines for Coordinates Collections this weekend so I pulled out the scrap supplies and got to work.  I got to work with the Lemondae kit.  It was SO fun.  I loved that I could make some vintage looking stuff and other totally modern looking stuff.  I have a few more coming with the soda pop kit, but for now here are a few layouts and a couple of ideas for all you scrappers out there

I LOVE to use unusual shapes as edges for my layouts. For this layout I wanted to create and continue the “in bloom” feel of the design so I cut one sheet of the kit paper to 8.5×11, then measured out a piece of flower shaped bazzill and cut it so that it would form a flower shaped edge for one side of th layout.

I think that grouping like objects makes such a powerful design statement. I espeically love grouping flowers because it looks like they are blooming right off of the page.  I think it also makes the grouping pop even more if you add a little texture and dimension to your grouping. For this card I just added buttons included in the kit and a few rhinestones to the centers of the flowers, layered them over one another and added pop dots to the two flowers on top to make them look like thy are jumpng off the page. I used the same technique on my “in bloom” layout only I added extra dimension by mixing in a few silk flowers with the paper flowers.

A simple and fun title idea for this great gameboard paper is to make it look like your title is part of the crossword puzzle.
