I love to celebrate beautiful things!   My interests include anything crafty, colorful and fun!  I love to travel, cook, craft, design, create, entertain, decorate, sew..and the list goes on.  Stunning images inspire me and I hope I can share a few things here that will inspire you too!

I have always loved photographs.  My grandma has always taken a million pictures and it inspired me from a young age.  With my first 110 camera I captured fun memories of family vacations and everyday activities.  Since having kids my focus has turned to the art of the portrait.  In my eyes the "perfect" portrait doesn't mean a creaseless shirt and stiff poses, but instead a twinkle in the eye and a glimpse into the soul. 

My specialty is children.  I love to capture them in their natural element.  I want to capture who your child is at this moment.  The little noses, funny smiles and dirt covered faces that make them the person that they are right now. 

My approach is VERY relaxed...very "photo journalistic."  I'm not a girl that likes to pose.  My idea of a perfect shoot is to meet you somewhere fun and let your kids play and be themselves while I fade into the background.  I believe it's those moments that you truly want to remember.   Anyone can take a picture.  I want to capture a moment and tell a story.  

I'd LOVE to come play with your little ones.  Think of a place where they are happiest.  Disneyland? Chuck E Cheese?  Krispy Kreme?  Think outside the box.  Let's get together and let them explore, get dirty and have some fun!  Those WILL be your cherished memories!

I can’t believe it is 2010!!!  I hope you all had a WONDERFUL few weeks of fun, family, and way too much food.  I know I did!!  Back on track and at the gym today!! :)    I feel like just yesterday I was all stressed out about Y2K.   I experienced a little Y2K disaster over this last week with my computer.  Of course it would happen on the week RIGHT before {Picture Perfect} was to launch and I was putting all the finishing touches on the videos.  YIKES!!!  Needless to say there was some panic around here and things are being re-loaded at this minute (i thought I lost all my emails too….that would have been bad news!!)  Fortunately, I am rather diligent about running routine backups…especially of my photos and I think we made it through without actually losing ANYTHING.  That was my Christmas miracle! :)  

So, now I’m sitting here on a new laptop courtesy of Santa… wireless is a beautiful thing.  I am no longer chained to the desk whenever I want to chat, edit or surf…NICE! :)   He even brought me a teeny little pink mouse.  So cute!  The one downside is I haven’t loaded ONE single picture yet…so that means a first for me today…a post with NO pictures!!!  Can you handle it?? :)   Don’t worry…I’m working on that TODAY!!! :)   If you have emailed over the last week or so and I have been late in responding I apologize.  I am catching up with all the craziness and will get back to you….I promise! :)

I wanted to let you all know that you will be seeing some extra posts showing up here over the next few weeks mixed in with the regular posts.  They will all say “protected” in the title.  They are password protected posts meant just for {Picture Perfect} class members.  Don’t worry…I haven’t taken the blog private…only those posts. :)   I just didn’t want anyone to be confused. :)

I have also added a new menu option on the header for 2010.  You might notice a “Message Board” option.  If you click on that you will notice a new MB just for this site.  I will be visitng there often in a private forum for {PP} class members, but I also wanted to offer up a general photography MB for those of you that might have questions for me.   If you are a photo enthusiast feel free to register for the board and pop in once and  awhile with a question or suggestion for other photogs.  I hope that will become a great resource for those who are excited about learning more about photography. 

Well, I better get back to the business of getting photoshop up and running on this thing so I can get you some pictures!! ;)   Have a great Monday!!
