Ash is a crafter by nature. (gee, I wonder where she gets it???) For Christmas I bought her a 12×12 pink plastic scrapbook storage box, filled it with some of my old papers, stickers, flowers, ribbon, envelopes, a pair of child safe scissors, and some glue sticks. She has been in hog heaven ever since.
She is also a little clingy. Probably no more so than any other 3 year old, but I have to say it’s something I’m not particularly used to. Andy was always incredibly independent. You could give him a few hot wheels and a car carpet and you wouldn’t see him the rest of the day if you didn’t go seek him out. She’s fine when we leave her places that she’s familiar with, that’s not the problem, it’s just when the two of us are at home alone (which is A LOT!) she wants to know right where I am at every second….and she’s a chatterbox. Non-stop talking. Don’t know where she got that from either.![]()
Anyhoo…yesterday she proudly announced that she had made me a present. (a regular occurence in our home. .. usually involves some teeny pieces of paper that she’s cut up, scribbled on, thrown in a gift bag with some beat up tissue paper, super cute) But yesterday’s gift was different. I opened the usual bag to find this:

very cute. when i asked her what it was she proudly announced that it was a necklace. she continued to inform me that I was to wear it around my neck at all times so that she would always know where I was because she would be able to hear the bell ring everytime I moved. ![]()
i love three year olds. honestly, where do they come up with this stuff???!!
have a great weekend!
