Yum! The kids and I decided to try and make some of those yummy caramel apples that you always see in the window at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Co. It was surprisingly easy…with one hitch…RIGHT after you make them thrown them in the fridge and as soon as they’re cool enough…EAT them! The stuff on ours started to slide off after it got too warm out of the fridge…not that I’m complaining about eating just straight caramel covered in M&M’s with no apple, but I’m just warning you!
Recipe: (this will makeabout 5 apples)
2 TBS water
5 apples with popsicle sticks inserted
toppings of your choice (we used black sugar, m&m’s and nerds…the nerds were actually good!!)
in a saucepan combine the caramels and water. melt slowly stirring frequently over low-med heat.
Once melted dip in your apples. Immediately cover with the topping (this part is MESSY!)
Refrigerate for an hour
have a great day!
