make this: sweets for my sweets…valentine treats

The other day my cute new neighbor brought us some darling little heart shaped brownies. They were so fun! That got me in the mood to create some valentine treats. Here’s my little spin on it…some sweets for your sweets this valentine’s day…

With a simple box of brownie mix, some toothpicks and a few cut out arrow pieces, you can create a little homemade goodness for your family this valentine’s day that only takes a few cents and a few minutes but gets you BIG brownie points. (yes, pun intended.)

I just made heart shaped brownies the other night for our anniversary. I found heart shaped silicone muffin pans in the dollar bins at Target, with all the Valentine’s Day goodies (although I think they were about $2.50). Totally cute, and totally easy!

Hi Karah!
There are a couple of different ways to get them heart shaped. They actually make shallow pans (kind of like muffin tins) that are heart shaped or you can use a cookie cutter. Thats the way I usually do it!

How do I get them heart shaped? Cookie cutters or a tin? Or do I do it with my fingers?
