I love Thanksgiving! What I don’t love is how it’s sandwiched between Halloween and Christmas and tends to get overlooked as stores jump from Halloween to Christmas without giving Thanksgiving even so much as a nod. Every store but Nordstrom that is.
I love that Thanksgiving gives us all a chance to reflect on the good things that have happened to us throughout the year. We pay a little more attention to God’s hand in everything and recognize things that maybe we tend to take for granted most of the rest of the year. I also love that there is no expectation of gifts. Just a time for us to get together and enjoy eachother. It’s wonderful!
