It is always so fun to shoot twins! Getting those double smiles takes a little more effort, but it is oh so worth it!! These two little ones were just perfect! They are definitely the pride and joy of their sweet parents. It was a real pleasure to meet and shoot this adorable family…and then I lucked out because we realized near the end of the shoot that we’re practically neighbors!! That’s the best part of meeting all my clients. Not just the pictures we capture but the friendships that are created. I look forward to watching these two littles grow up!! Here’s a little sneak for mom…

I LOVE this age!! I am so excited that I get to shoot twin one year olds this weekend!! It is seriously my favorite age. They are smiley, can do fun tricks and still can’t move too fast. Here is a special little cutie and her one year old shoot from last week.

everyday life: bragging rights

I can’t believe it has taken me THIS long to post any of these pictures. Shows you all how behind I am!! I just need a minute to brag about this little doll. Yesterday I got the chance to see my ADORABLE (I might be a little biased) niece when she came over for Easter. Can I tell you how in LOVE I am with this little girl??? I think I told you all how anxious I was to become an aunt back in October when she was born and now I am just loving every minute of it!!! I could just eat her up!!!

Here’s one of her latest tricks…eating REAL food! Do you think she likes it???

orange county baby photographer: sweet savannah

this weekend we had the chance to run up to my brother’s again and see sweet little savannah. it’s amazing how fast these little ones change. we had just seen her 6 days ago, the day she was born, and she already looked different to me! andy and ashley hadn’t been allowed to see her in the hospital so they had been anxiously awaiting a return trip where they could get a glimpse at her and get to hold her. i was able to snap a few shots of the cute new family too. having had c-sections, it always amazes me when I see these new moms who are up and at it looking fab just days after delivery. cute whitney was definitely looking amazing. i know she’s only days old, but can we count this as her first smile looking at mom???

it is so fun to see my brother as a dad. it’s hard to believe he is one, since i always think of him as being so young…i guess that just means i’m old. there is something so sweet about a daddy daughter relationship…

this little one is definitely in a home full of love.

everday life: i’m FINALLY an aunt!!!

introducing savannah grace…she is SO sweet!!! i have been waiting a LONG time for this and i can’t wait to get the chance to spoil this little one!!

we got to see her when she was just hours old yesterday and i can’t wait until i can see her and hold her again! newborns are the best…especially when you don’t have to wake up in the middle of the night with them!!

i am so excited for this sweet little family!!

Orange County Baby and Children’s Photographer: Look Who’s One!

It’s been a long time, I know. Between being out of town and then battling a slew of illnesses including, but not limited to, ear infections, sinus infections, bronchial infections and pink eye, the trips to urgent care in the middle of the night, playing nurse and recovering from traveling alone with two kiddos has about done me in!! Not to mention that I’ve been prepping for our first official day of homeschool today, making hundreds of accessories for a project that I’m VERY excited about for tomorrow (I’ll share more later!) AND getting ready to head out across the country solo with the two kids again on Wednesday…I’m wiped!!!! (I also fit making a few skirts, reorganizing a few closets, a few shoots, having a few people over for dinner, and completing my regular mom duties in the mix.) So, as you can imagine, blogging has taken a back seat. lol!!

Don’t worry. Once I get back and get settled into this whole hoeschooling thing, we will return to our regular scheduled blogging.

In the mean time, I wanted to share a little sneak of a shoot with a little girl that I LOVE. She is just darling and now she’s ONE! I can’t believe it. First birthdays are THE BEST!!! We should always be allowed to dive into our cake every year!

i got the chance to spend a fun saturday evening with this darling family. these girls are seriously the cutest…big sister wasn’t too sure about me, but little sister was sure all giggles for the camera!! how can those big brown doll eyes not capture a piece of your heart??? i’m sure glad that i have gotten the chance to get to know this great little family more over the last few months. here’s a chance for you to get to know them a little better too. enjoy!

can i say photogenic??? i was having such a hard time choosng what to share…i’ll stop here and save some suprises for mom in her gallery.

ok, i know mom has been waiting anxiously for these!!! i always think that i’m going to be able to get things up WAY before i do…wishful thinking i guess. especially during the summer when fun family and friends are popping in and out unexpectedly and life gets even crazier than normal! i hope the waiting didn’t kill you mom!! we miss you!!!! without further ado…little gavin dean….
