she had never even asked to take off her training wheels…and then on Friday she just started trying to ride her friend’s little two wheeler without trainers and she was hooked!  Saturday morning daddy took her out to ride.  One trip up and down the street and she was on her own…you go girl! ;)

now i just have to bite my nails as she rides today in hopes I don’t have to fix any big owies. :)

]]> http://www.tammymitchellphotography.com/2011/01/24/everyday-life-just-because/feed/ 1 everyday life: december decor http://www.tammymitchellphotography.com/2010/12/29/everyday-life-december-decor/ http://www.tammymitchellphotography.com/2010/12/29/everyday-life-december-decor/#comments Wed, 29 Dec 2010 15:02:25 +0000 Tammy http://www.tammymitchellphotography.com/?p=1759 there is something I have to confess…i am TERRIBLE about taking event pictures of things that happen often (like Christmas, thanksgiving, etc).  I think that the fact that it happens every year and looks the same every year just does something to my creativity.  Earlier this month I was asked for a couple of pictures of my family/kids at Christmas time doing Christmas activities and I have to admit…I went and looked in last years pictures and I could barely scrape anything together…is that pathetic or what???  So, this year I decided that I would make more of an effort to take more pictures.  I even made myself a list of things I should be getting pictures of.  I am proud to say that I did MUCH better this year.  I still have room to improve next year…but for now, here are a few pictures of the december decor and happenings at our house this year…

I have a decorating dilema.  It’s kind of a sickness…but I need all of my decorations downstairs to match the decor in my house.  This in and of itself would not normally be a problem…but I also LOVE bright red, white and green decor at the holidays…and this TOTALLY clashes with what I’ve got going on all over the house…so I decided to throw caution to the wind this year ;) and dedicate the upstairs decor to all fun and whimsy and let the kids have at it.  I LOVED it.  Will definitely be doing this from now on.  The kids appreciate seeing their fun handmade stuff all over too. 

This little girl LOVES to decorate…(wonder where she gets that???) ;)   She has asked to take decorating classes…LOVE that!  Andy had no interest in decorating the tree this year, but Ash was ALL over it. 

and of course, no december would be complete without a visit with the big man himself….this was the first year that Ash was willing to get anywhere near him without daddy holding her…

OK…now I just need to edit Christmas morning and I will consider this a successful picture taking December!! ;)

enjoy the last few days before CHRISTMAS!!!  hard to believe…

a few weeks ago a big beautiful box full of new supplies arrived expecting me to craft with it. ;)  so, i sifted through a year of pictures and placed the order at costco.  last night i finally got a few quiet minutes to put them to good use. ;)   it feels good to be back! :)

i LOVE all these latest lines from Teresa Collins!!!  I can’t wait to take some Christmas pictures so I can use the Noel line! :)

]]> http://www.tammymitchellphotography.com/2010/10/27/make-this-scrapbooking/feed/ 2 orange county baby photographer: sweet savannah http://www.tammymitchellphotography.com/2010/10/25/orange-county-baby-photographer-sweet-savannah/ http://www.tammymitchellphotography.com/2010/10/25/orange-county-baby-photographer-sweet-savannah/#comments Mon, 25 Oct 2010 17:25:14 +0000 Tammy http://www.tammymitchellphotography.com/?p=1600 this weekend we had the chance to run up to my brother’s again and see sweet little savannah.  it’s amazing how fast these little ones change.  we had just seen her 6 days ago, the day she was born, and she already looked different to me!  andy and ashley hadn’t been allowed to see her in the hospital so they had been anxiously awaiting a return trip where they could get a glimpse at her and get to hold her.  i was able to snap a few shots of the cute new family too.  having had c-sections, it always amazes me when I see these new moms who are up and at it looking fab just days after delivery.  cute whitney was definitely looking amazing.  i know she’s only days old, but can we count this as her first smile looking at mom??? ;)

it is so fun to see my brother as a dad.  it’s hard to believe he is one, since i always think of him as being so young…i guess that just means i’m old. ;)   there is something so sweet about a daddy daughter relationship…

this little one is definitely in a home full of love.
